I've often spoke about the problems of society largely being caused by lack of education, and just general ignorance. I've never really wondered about the causes for the lack of education. It occurred to me recently to think about what the incentives might be for ignorance. After all ignorance is bliss.

Wikileaks has released 24 hours worth of pager messages sent from 20010911 3:00, to 20010912 3:00. It contains a wealth of interesting information. From the banal to the truly sad, it's a very telling release of data.
